Memories of KAshmir
What is Memories of Kashmir ?
As time passes, some memories fade and some stay with us very vivid and clear. As generations come and go, it takes away with it the glory and the pain and what remains is leftovers passed on to next generations as stories passed on. As we migrate, by force or by choice, it moves us away from our loved ones and our neighborhood’s that ingrained in us our language and culture every single moment, what remains are memories locked in times and customs.
Would it not be nice to have a way for each one of us individually and the community collectively to not allow passage of time, generations and or migrations to fade our memories and enable us to keep it alive and fresh and always accessible beyond the boundaries of times, generations and geographies.
Iqwat is very pleased to launch “Memories of Kashmir” an initiative aimed to document and digitize our experiences and memories of past and dedicate a complete section in the iqwat platform that will be the showcase of all these stories… young and old… for past , present and future generations so we can all benefit and relive those moments whenever we want.
Inviting people to submit their stories in audio, video or written format. We will publish them in e-book format or video or audio collection on the iqwat platform. As stories keep coming in we will keep adding them to the collection. Separate section for kids stories would be put together. This is going to be an everlasting initiative as the stories will keep coming in as time moves on.
